Five people died due to bus overturning on interstate highway in western New York

A bus returning to New York City from Niagra Falls overturned on the interstate highway and injured five passengers in it. The officers provided this information.

Officials said a total of 54 people, including several Indian citizens, were aboard the bus. Provincial police chief Andre Ray told a press conference on Friday evening that the accident took place at around 12:30 pm on the Interstate Highway-90 in the Pembrock area of ​​New York.

He said that from the initial investigation, it seems that the driver’s attention was lost, causing him to lose control of the bus and overturned the bus. However, Ray did not say what was the reason for the driver’s focus.

He said that the cause of the accident is being investigated. Ray said that the passengers in the bus were between one year and 74 years old. Many people fell out of the bus during the accident. Five adult passengers died on the spot.

He said that many passengers got stuck inside the bus, which were rescued. Many injured were taken to the hospital. Ray said that it does not seem that any other person suffered a deadly injuries.
