Security officials also said that 88 militants, who were allegedly supported by the Afghan Taliban, have been killed in operations conducted across the region in the last two days. The Pakistani Army said in a statement on Thursday that 34 terrorists of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in multiple operations based on confidential information in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province between Monday and Wednesday.

He said that these operations were conducted in North Waziristan, South Waziristan and Bannu districts. Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist attacks, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces after the banned TTP ended the ceasefire with the government in November 2022.
