Google recently launched its new AI-enabled image editing feature ‘Nano Banana’, which is now available in Google Search. Let us tell you that this feature allows users to change photos instantly through Lens and AI Mode. According to available information, this feature was announced on October 16 through the company’s official X account.
To use Nano Banana, users will have to open Lens in the Google app on Android or iOS. The new ‘Create’ mode is marked with a yellow banana icon. Users can use suggested prompts like “make a photo booth pic of me” or click a photo and customize the edits. Further changes can then be made from follow-up prompts, and the finished images can be shared with family and friends.
Google also shared a demo video, in which a woman’s photo was transformed into a vintage black-and-white Photo Booth strip. He asked the AI to “change my face in every shot,” with results that looked impressive and creative.
It is worth noting that Google also shared some tips and tricks in a blog post on October 13. Users who feel camera confident can use the rear camera or choose a photo from the gallery. This feature is ideal for visualizing ideas, such as planning Halloween costumes for pets. AI Mode also allows the creation of completely new images and users can continue to interact with the AI to customize styling or find similar products through text prompts.
As per current information, Nano Banana’s image editing features are currently available in English in the US and India. Google has confirmed that it will also be released in other countries and languages in the coming months, leading to a global expansion of AI-enabled creative tools.
