Eight people were killed and three were injured in a firing on Sunday at a nightclub in the southern American country of Ecuador. The officers provided this information.
The police said in a statement that the incident took place in Santa Lucia, a rural area of coastal province Guayas. It is considered one of the most dangerous areas of the country. It said that seven people died during the firing at the club while one died in the hospital. All are between 20 and 40 years old.
Officials said that heavy -armed suspects had come on motorcycles and two vehicles. It is not yet known why the club firing.
