On Tuesday, Khanal’s residence in Dallu area of Kathmandu was set on fire by a mob. There was severe scorching in the habitat. On Tuesday, some Nepali media institutions had said that they had died in the hospital, but could not be confirmed.
However, the Kathmandu post newspaper said on Wednesday that Chitrakar’s condition is stable but serious. Chitrakar was rushed to Kirtipur Hospital in critical condition. Dr. Kiran Nakarmi, director of the hospital, said, his condition is critical and is the same as it was at the time of being brought for treatment.
