Infosys increases the pace of lateral hiring, employees will get referral reward up to ₹ 50,000

According to available information, Infosys has intensified its lateral hiring campaign in India. The company has started a new referral program for its employees, under which they are being given attractive cash rewards for recommending eligible candidates. The initiative comes at a time when TCS, the country’s largest IT company, has recently banned lateral hiring and cut down its workforce extensively.

Let us tell you that under this referral program of Infosys, employees will get different rewards for the candidates selected at different job levels. The amount has been fixed at ₹10,000 for job level 3, ₹25,000 for job level 4, ₹35,000 for job level 5 and ₹50,000 for job level 6. This program aims to recruit experienced professionals for positions such as Developer, Technology Lead, Manager, VOIP Expert, Data Analyst, Blockchain Developer and Java Specialist.

According to company sources, Infosys is giving preference to candidates who have at least two years of experience, while for some senior positions, 13 to 15 years of experience is required. Along with this, the company is also paying special attention to diversity and inclusion. Opportunities are being opened especially for those women who want to return to work after a career break.

It is noteworthy that this referral drive is running in Infosys’ development centers located in cities like Delhi, Pune, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Mysore, Chandigarh and Hubli. It is being told that the aim of the company’s annual lateral hiring drive is to fill the void left by the departure of employees and to support ongoing and new projects.

Interestingly, Infosys is also encouraging its senior employees to take interviews. According to the information, he will be given a reward of ₹ 700 for every interview. With this the company aims to ensure a faster and more effective recruitment process through its internal network.

On the other hand, TCS has cut 12,000 to 20,000 jobs in the last few months. The company has currently stopped lateral hiring after appointing 650 new employees last month. It is being told that this decision has been taken in view of automation, business restructuring and future technical needs.

Industry experts believe that this move by Infosys will not only speed up the recruitment process but will also help in adding suitable candidates in line with the company culture. Additionally, candidates who come from employee referrals have a higher retention rate, which also increases long-term productivity.

Overall, while Infosys is running a large-scale referral campaign to add new talent with the help of employees, TCS is currently moving towards limiting its expansion due to the changes in the industry and the pressure of automation. This trend clearly reflects the changing business environment and demand for new technologies in the IT sector.
