Jio and airtel network news: The number of telecom customers in the country increased slightly to 120.7 crore in May. In this, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel added more than 99 percent of the new customers. According to data published on Friday by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India TRAI, the pure customer growth by telecom service providers in May was 43,58,231. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel jointly added 43,51,294 customer, which is 99.84 percent of the total net customer growth.
The overall growth in the customer base has reduced the overall growth in the customer base by debt -trapped Vodafone Idea (VI) and public sector companies BSNL and MTNL. The total number of telecom customers in the country increased to 120.7 crore in May. In this, landline connection increased by 3.34 percent to 3.86 crore and mobile connection increased to 116.84 crores. The total customer base in April was 120.3 crore.

Reliance Jio dominated the mobile consumer base. Its stake was 40.92 percent. The company added 27 lakh new customers, causing its total wireless base to 47.51 crore. Bharti Airtel gained 33.61 percent stake with a net increase of 2.75 lakhs, leading to its total customer base in May.
In May, Vodafone Idea lost 2.74 lakhs, BSNL 1.35 lakh, MTNL 4.7 lakh and Reliance Communications lost 30 mobile customers. In the wireline section, Reliance Jio topped the list by adding 12.76 lakh new customers. After this, Bharti Airtel added about 99,000 new customers. Tata Teleservices added 4,890 new customers, Vodafone Idea 1,795 and STPL added 252 new customers.

In May, government company MTNL was the biggest reduction among fixed line customers. This lost 66,834 fixed line customers, while BSNL lost more than 46,000 customers. The total number of broadband consumers in the country reached 97.48 crore in May. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel introduced TRAI in the required format after a gap of five months.
Reliance Jio topped the broadband segment with 49.44 crore customers, including both mobile and wireless customers. Subsequently, Bharti Airtel has 30.2 crore broadband customers, Vodafone Idea 12.66 crore, BSNL 3.43 crore and 23.2 lakh customers of Atriya Convergence. (Language)
