Khalistani terrorist Pannu’s ‘right hand’ Inderjit Singh Gosal arrested in Canada, big success for India

Khalistani terrorist Indrajit Singh Gosal, who is a close associate of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a ruled Sikh for Justice (SFJ) declared Sikh for Justice (SFJ) in India, has been allegedly arrested in Canada. Gosal was the main organizer of the so -called Khalistan referendum in Canada.

Sources in the intelligence agencies have claimed that 36 -year -old Gosal was detained in several charges related to firearms in Ottawa. He had also worked as Pannu’s Private Security Officer (PSO). He was arrested at a time when India and Canada agreed to adopt a collaborative approach to the introduction of a new chapter in bilateral relations last week, including working together to deal with terrorism and international crimes.

Gosal’s suspected role and controversial background

After Nijjar’s death, Gosal’s name came at the forefront of anti -India activities. He was suspected in a case of violence in a temple in the Greater Toronto region last year and was released after temporary custody. He was also accused of plotting violence in Indian consulates in Canada. Famous for his over-active campaign in support of the Khalistan referendum, Gosal, SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu was also his personal security officer on the Canada tours. He is also known for being associated with the banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

Diplomatic stress and security claims

The arrest took place after the murder of Nijjar last year after a period of highly stressful diplomatic relations between Canada and India. Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau convicted the Indian government officials for plotting the murder. In retaliation, India had called back its High Commissioner and five other officers from Ottawa and expelled Canadian diplomats.

Gosal himself said that he too was a victim of criminal violence. In an interview to a Canadian news portal, he said he “threatened his life from agents and representatives of the Government of India”, but still felt bound to continue his work. The Canadian police also said that Gosal was one of the 13 civilians who were victims of violence by pro -Khalistan forces.

Who is Indrajit Singh Gosal?

Gosal, 36, is considered to be Pannu’s right hand and has also worked as Pannu’s bodyguards. After the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June 2023, Gosal allegedly emerged as a prominent Canadian organizer of SFJ.

He was detained in November last year in connection with a violent incident at a Hindu temple in Greater Toronto Area (GTA), where he was accused of attacking Hindu-Canadian devotees.

According to the report, the Peel Regional Police (PRP) released him on certain conditions. PRP had said, “On November 8, 2024, they [गोसल] He was arrested and accused of attacking with weapons. He was released with conditions and is later to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. “

According to Canadian police, Gosal was allegedly involved in 13 Canadian citizens targeted in violent crimes against Khalistan supporters. Nijjar’s assassination caused huge tension in diplomatic relations between India and Canada, which worsened with the attack on a Hindu temple and the subsequent protests.

In August last year, Canadian police allegedly warned Gosal about the increasing threat to his life. Pannoon had also confirmed the notice of “duty” to Gosal by Ontario Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

According to a statement by Pannoon, Gosal had said, “Canadian officials have informed me about my life danger.” However, according to the Reuters report, he reiterated his commitment to the Khalistani separation scheme for Punjab.
