Four coaches of a train derailed on Sunday in Pakistan’s Punjab province. At least one person was killed and several other passengers were injured in the incident. This information was received from media news.
According to the report of ‘Geo News’, the accident occurred near Lodharan railway station in the province. The train was going from Peshawar to Karachi at the time of the incident. At least 19 injured passengers were evacuated from damaged coaches to the hospital, where one person died.
The report quoted Lodharan Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lubna Nazir as saying that the condition of two other passengers is critical. He said, “The exact cause of the accident is not yet known.” He said that rail services on this railway line have been normally restored.
